Dentist needed in St James MO

About the Position

We are seeking a full-time General Dentist to join our growing team due to expansion and a current provider transitioning out.

Our practice operates in two locations :

One office in St. James, MO , offering 5 modern operatories in a well-established community practice.

One office in Bourbon, MO , with 4 operatories and a loyal patient base.

Both practices utilize expanded function dental assistants to maximize efficiency and patient care.

Practice Highlights :

Heavily Medicaid-based practice with strong patient demand.

Both locations are contracted with a local FQHC , significantly increasing reimbursement rates.

Strong pediatric and adolescent population ; with Missouri’s adult Medicaid expansion, we are seeing a rapidly growing adult patient base .

Current dentists provide restorative treatment under general anesthesia for children , but this is not required for the new dentist (training available if interested).

Dentists perform their own prophys and adult checkups.

New graduates are welcome to apply—excellent mentorship is available, especially with pediatric cases.

Schedule :

St. James Office : Mon, Tue, Thu 8–5; Wed 7–3; Fri 8–2

Bourbon Office : Tue, Thu 8–5; Wed 7–3

Flexible scheduling available. Ideally, the new dentist will have one “home base” office but be able to cover both locations as needed.

Team Structure :

Work alongside 1 full-time and 2 part-time Dentists

Supported by 12 assistants and administrative staff

Actively recruiting 1 Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)

Clinical Focus :

Bread-and-butter general dentistry with a strong emphasis on pediatrics

Typical cases : restorations, crowns, pediatric pulpotomies / crowns, extractions, root canal therapy, etc.

Must be comfortable treating children (majority of patients are pediatric) – training / mentorship available for new grads.

Patient flow : ~25–40 patients / day (adjustable based on provider’s comfort and pace)

Average of 50–60 new patients / month (many emergency visits convert to long-term patients)

About Compensation & Benefits

Compensation : 30–33% of collections or a daily minimum (whichever is greater), based on experience.

Earnings potential is outstanding :

A new graduate who started in July earned $290K in their first full year .

Motivated dentists can easily achieve $400K+ annually .

Loan Repayment :

The St. James location qualifies for HRSA loan repayment .

The Bourbon location is currently in the certification process.
