What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Set the vision, strategy, and overall learning agenda for design research contributions to the Plan Shopping portfolio
Drive human-centered practices across the portfolio and ensure high-quality research execution
Lead research team members to gather insights on consumer experience needs and translate them into actionable opportunities
Collaborate with design, product, marketing, and strategy leaders to align research contributions with organizational priorities
Manage and mentor a high-performing team, providing strategic direction and ensuring alignment with organizational goals
What is Required (Qualifications)
8-10 years of experience leading design research in innovation and human-centered design
Minimum of 3 years managing design research team members
Exceptional communication, problem-solving, coaching, and management skills
Advanced education or expertise in design research (e.g., BS, MS, or PhD in a research-related discipline)
Understanding and experience with various UX and design research methodologies
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience designing for senior adults or healthcare audiences
E-commerce experience
Familiarity with tools like Usertesting, Qualtrics, and Dscout
