Music Therapist

Overview :

As a member of the Hospice Interdisciplinary Team, the primary focus of the Music Therapist is to provide music therapy services to the hospice patients and their families in accordance with the interdisciplinary plan of care. The music therapist assesses patients and families, devises a care plan, and implements the care plan. Additionally, the music therapist consults with others on referrals to music therapy and on the therapeutic uses of music.

Flexible scheduling - PRN - Open to weekends only

Coverage area :   Big Rapids, Grand Rapids, Belding and Bloomingdale

Pay : Per Visit + $0.58 per mile / mileage

Qualifications :

• Educational Degree : Bachelor's Degree in Music with a concentration in Music Therapy and / or Music Therapy.
• Training / Licensure : Board Certified as a Music Therapist by the Certification Board for Music Therapy, Completed an internship of at least 900 hour
• Mental Requirements : Must have the ability to work independently, make judgments based on assessments and data available and act accordingly. Must be flexible, innovative and possess good interpersonal skills. Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress and demonstrate emotional stability.
