WBS, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking an Intern - Accounting / Finance in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Green Bay, Wisconsin locations. This internship is part-time during the academic year and full-time during the Summer of 2026. The hourly rate for this internship is $19.80 with paid company holidays. This position offers flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (remote / on-site) with time spent in the office.

WEC Energy Group offers finance opportunities for students seeking hands-on experience that are currently enrolled in a four-year degree program. Below is an overview of functional areas where we typically have students. Students work with experienced members of these functional teams.

Job Responsibilities

Gain knowledge of SAP general ledgers, PowerPlan property accounting system, and Business Warehouse (BW).

Assist several accounting managers who support the following functions :

Service company accounting

Property Accounting

Finance support for internal business units such as IT, HR, Legal, etc.

Regulatory reporting

Financial audit support

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma, HSED, or GED

Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or closely related degree with a graduation date after June 2026.

Must be available to work part-time during the school year and full-time during Summer 2026. Hours will be flexible to accommodate school schedule with part-time work during the school year

Minimum GPA of 2.8

End Date : 11 / 15 / 2025

Pay Range Minimum : $19.80 / hour

Pay Range Maximum : $22.86 / hour

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary / pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
