Residential Therapist (Juvenile) - LAC

MindCare Solutions, is a leader in comprehensive mental health solutions in various settings : clinician owned and operated. We are seeking a Licensed Associate Counselor that is looking for a partnership in a growing organization with a strong team-mentality working in a juvenile residential setting.

Schedule : Full-time, Monday - Friday 8 : 00am - 4 : 30pm

Compensation : $72,500 - $110,000 (based on experience)

Sign-On / Start Bonus : $5,000

Position Summary :

The Licensed Associate Counselor provides for the care and management of the mental health needs of the inmate / patient population of a juvenile residential facility.

  • The Licensed Associate Counselor provides mental health services such as intake, crisis intervention, individual counseling and group counseling
  • Acts as a member of the treatment team to determine, coordinate and implement appropriate inmate / patient care
  • The Licensed Associate Counselor prepares and regularly maintains progress notes and discharge summaries on patients
  • Facilitates regular therapeutic groups that address specific identified treatment issues and reinforces the inmates / patient's treatment plan
  • The Licensed Associate Counselor provides observational feedback within the multidisciplinary team context
  • Refers inmate / patient for outside services once released
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, or counseling
  • Must possess a current and unrestricted LAC (Licensed Associate Counselor) in the state of New Jersey (NJ)
  • An appropriate combination of education, training, course work and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Applicants must successfully pass the required criminal background check
