JOB DESCRIPTION:
Radiant Smiles is a beautiful, new dental practice that is committed to providing a positive and valued dental care
experience for our patients. We are looking for an outgoing, friendly, team-oriented, and hard-working dental
assistant who is looking to grow their career.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Delivers direct patient care to patients as assigned, using established dental assisting procedures.
 Prepares and maintains treatments rooms and equipment including cleaning and sterilizing instruments
and burs, setting up trays, and cleaning treatment rooms.
 Provides instrumentation to treatment area; positioning instruments for dentist's access; suctioning;
passing instruments.
 Provides materials by selecting, mixing, and placing materials on instruments and in the patient's mouth.
 Provides diagnostic information by exposing and developing x-rays.
 Prepares impressions and/or models and coordinates all aspects of lab cases.
 Educates patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
 Documents dental care services by charting in patient records.
 Ensures operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following
manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment
inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
 Maintains dental supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed
supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
 Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug
and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
 Performs other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
 High school diploma or GED. Post high school courses in a dental or medical related arena preferred.
CREDENTIALS/LICENSURE:
 Current CPR certification and certification in Dental Assisting with Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)
preferred.
 Dental Radiology (X-Ray) certification
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
 1 year (Preferred) Open Dental knowledge is plus

 Estimated Salary: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour based on qualifications.
