About the Position

LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Family Practice PA in North Carolina!

We are seeking an experienced Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 5-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This short-term opportunity starts Dec 22, 2025, offering 8-5 day shifts with sporadic coverage across select dates. The role focuses on managing chronic care, acute illnesses, and performing routine physicals in a family practice setting.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and COPD
  • Diagnose and treat acute issues including cold, cough, and flu
  • Conduct routine physical exams
  • Provide patient education and preventive care
  • Work autonomously in a family practice environment

    • Additional Information

  • At least 1 year of experience in family practice and autonomous work required
  • Must hold an active North Carolina license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
