Licensed Practical Nurse - OBGYN Jefferson Street Clinics (50%)

University of Iowa Health Care Department of Nursing is seeking a 50% Licensed Practical Nurse to work in our OBGYN Jefferson Street Clinic .

Duties to include :

• Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
• Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic program for patients.
• In less complex situations, may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel. In more complex situations, performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse.
• Performs patient care related to vital signs, lab draws, setting up and assisting with minor procedures, in-clinic treatments, point of care testing and other duties as assigned.
• Provides psychological support to the patient and family based on assessed needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Percent of Time : 50% (20 hrs / week)

Salary : Merit Plan Plan

Schedule : Monday-Friday rotating days 8 : 30-5 : 30. No weekends, no holidays

Location : Jefferson Street, Iowa City, IA.
