Job Type : Full-Time Consultant (12-Month Assignment)
Schedule : Monday–Friday | First Shift, 8 : 00 AM–5 : 00 PM
Pay Rate : 48.50 per hour (flexible—commensurate with experience)

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire a Manufacturing Engineer for an onsite role supporting a landing gear Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility. This position is execution-focused and hands-on, with a primary emphasis on leading large CAPEX projects that directly improve manufacturing capability, safety, productivity, and throughput.
You’ll work at the intersection of engineering, operations, and production—turning complex requirements into production-ready solutions in a highly regulated aerospace environment.
What You’ll Do
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will serve as a key technical leader responsible for project execution, process development, and shop-floor support. Your responsibilities include :
Leading and executing large CAPEX projects, including equipment selection, layout development, installation, commissioning, and production handover
Translating business and operational requirements into safe, compliant, and effective manufacturing solutions
Partnering with operations, facilities, EH&S, quality, and supply chain teams to deliver production-ready assets and processes
Developing and maintaining master manufacturing plans (master routers), work instructions, and Bills of Material
Supporting onboarding of new programs, including master production planning and shop-floor readiness
Creating supplemental documentation such as procedures, job aids, and technical support materials
Specifying, quoting, procuring, and installing tooling and equipment, including PO support, safety reviews, acceptance, and operator training
Developing and improving manufacturing processes, tooling concepts, and workflows for landing gear repair and overhaul
Providing hands-on shop-floor engineering support and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control system issues
Conducting equipment acceptance, process validation, and capability assessments
Reviewing engineering drawings, repair orders, Service Bulletins, and Airworthiness Directives to ensure compliance
Supporting drawing creation, correction, and technical reviews
Driving root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing and equipment issues
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, throughput, yield, turnaround time, and operational stability
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
Manufacturing Engineering experience in a regulated environment
Experience supporting CAPEX projects and equipment installations
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
Strong cross-functional communication and execution skills
Willingness to work onsite in a hands-on manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
Aerospace MRO experience, particularly with landing gear systems
Experience developing master routers, work instructions, and BOMs
Familiarity with aerospace regulatory requirements and quality systems
Background supporting shop-floor manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives

Pay Details : 48.50 per hour
