Registered Nurse – ICU

Unit Name : CCU

Requirements :

Must have a valid TN RN License or Compact RN License in good standing

Minimum 1 year of ICU experience

Certifications Required : ACLS

Must Have : 1 year critical care experience, Meditech experience, ACLS, NIH certification

Advanced Skills Needed :

Ability to manage arterial lines

Management of venous / arterial sheaths

Cardiovascular & vasopressor drips

Ventilator management

Procedures Performed on Unit :

Bedside central line placement

Massive transfusion protocol

Unit Specifics : Number of Beds : 20

Patient Ratios : 2 : 1 for CCU patients

Unit Staffing : Unit secretary on days & nights, occasional tech support

Equipment : GE monitors, Alaris pumps, Puritan Bennett ventilators

Documentation System : Meditech

Scheduling Requirements :

36 hours per week

3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks

Floating Policy : Contract labor floats before core staff

Patient Experience Requirements : At least 1 year of critical care experience
