Staff Auditor

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our Firm. As a financial statement auditor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of non-profit organizations. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough and independent audits of our non-profit clients’ financial statements and internal controls.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform comprehensive audits of client financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.
2. Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes.
3. Conduct detailed testing and analysis of financial transactions, supporting documentation, and general ledger accounts.
4. Identify and communicate any irregularities, discrepancies, or potential areas of improvement to management, and recommend corrective actions.
5. Stay updated with evolving accounting standards and regulatory requirements applicable to non-profit organizations and ensure adherence to these standards in financial reporting and auditing processes.
6. Prepare clear and concise audit reports summarizing findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
7. Preparation of non-profit tax returns

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, IT or a related field.
2. Familiarity of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) and financial reporting requirements.
3. Proficiency in using accounting software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to analyze financial data and perform audit procedures.
4. Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
6. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
