Schedule Details :

Nights

8 and 12 hr shifts

Every third weekend rotation

Holiday rotation

Sign-On Bonus : $15,000 for 3rd Shift

Student Loan Forgiveness : Up to $20,000

Unit Overview :

Be a part of our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit , where you'll care for a diverse and complex patient population, including :

Post-operative care for craniotomies, AVMs, and tumor resections

Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries

Patients with hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program

High volume of cervical and spinal surgery patients, including medical overflow cases

Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based patient care using the nursing process

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and compassionate care

Apply clinical judgment and critical thinking to support optimal patient outcomes

Major Responsibilities :

Assess patient needs and plan individualized interventions

Recognize and respond to significant changes in patient conditions

Ensure patient safety and assess learning readiness for patients and families

Coordinate discharge plans with an interdisciplinary approach

Evaluate patient, team, and unit outcomes collaboratively

Communicate effectively and promote collaboration among team members

Licensure & Education :

Registered Nurse license in the practicing state

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association

Completion of an accredited nursing program

Experience Required :

Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

Holistic patient care with a focus on family involvement

Timeliness and flexibility in responding to clinical situations

Proficient in electronic medical records and communication

Exceptional interpersonal and team collaboration skills

Ability to make critical decisions independently

Strong organizational and time management skills

Physical Requirements :

Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, and move patients

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform sliding transfers

Exposure to chemicals, hazardous waste, and body fluids is possible

Functional mobility required for patient care tasks
