Senior Tax Accountant

Port Washington, NY

Our client, an international corporation, is adding a Senior Tax Accountant to their team. They foster a supportive and collaborative work environment, offer the opportunity for advancement and are poised for growth. Qualified candidates will have a degree in accounting along with 2+ years of tax accounting experience; public accounting and / or large corporate side experience preferred. You will work within the company's corporate tax department focused on provisioning, reporting and working with external tax resources. This position is in office 5 days a week offers a salary in the range of $100-120K plus bonus and an exceptional benefits package including a very strong 401k match.

Responsibilities of the position include :

• Preparation of state and local income tax filings
• Work on tax provisioning under US GAAP
• Preparation of state income taxes and responding to notices
• Reconciliation of global tax accounts
• Work with outside tax firm on any tax related issues and audits
• Ad hoc projects as required
