2nd shift Inspector-Class B

Under the direction of the inspection supervisor or leadperson(s), this individual must be able to perform inspection procedures on a variety of bearing components and finished assemblies. This individual must be able to read complex drawings and perform inspection operations as required using measuring instruments such as micrometers, verniers, dial indicators, and direct reading instruments such as air gages, plug gages and torque and radial clearance gages and Rockwell hardness tester. This person must be able to select the appropriate inspection instrument, perform inspection operations according to a specified sampling plan and prepare necessary paperwork when parts fail to meet print specifications.

This individual will be responsible for reporting any discrepancies to either the leadperson(s) or the supervisor. Other responsibilities include keeping the workplace clean, moving work being inspected within the area of the workplace and performing any other reasonable duties as assigned by inspection supervision.
