We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Transportation Clerk to join an established distribution company in Frederick, MD. This role is crucial for supporting the daily administrative and operational functions of the transportation department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of office tasks, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations, and providing support to our drivers.

Responsibilities :

• Handling accounts payable / receivable and collections tasks.
• Assisting with payroll processing.
• Conducting fuel reconciliation and tracking.
• Managing office supplies and inventory.
• Processing billing and maintaining accurate records.
• Maintaining databases and generating miscellaneous reports.
• Responsible for the daily / weekly audit of driver logs and trip reports.
• Track and ensure compliance with log and driver file DOT requirements.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date driver files and other essential documentation.
• Prepare and process various DOT reports.
• Serve as the daily point of contact and interface with drivers.
• Address and resolve driver equipment requests efficiently.
• Maintain and distribute route books to drivers.
• Assist with scheduling and logistics to cover driver vacations and overflow freight.

Working hours : 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM (Various Shifts Available)
