Position description

The Service Technician position has the responsibility to service, repair and maintain company owned vacuum and dust collector equipment in the rental fleet, and the service and repair of customer owned vacuums and dust collectors. Common tasks for the position include servicing and troubleshooting of diesel and electric motors, troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic and hydraulic components, servicing clutch and drive components, maintaining the vacuum system components, repairing trailer components, as well as identifying and repairing various damaged or broken components. Equipment specific training will be provided on the job.

Qualifications

Preferred Education : Industrial or diesel technician training

Experience : Diesel equipment or industrial equipment service experience preferred. Welding experience helpful. We will provide on the job training for familiarization and servicing of the equipment.

Travel : Occasional service calls may require some travel.

Skills and Abilities

Problem solving : Diagnosing problems on a diesel and electric motors, become knowledgeable on diagnosing problems with the vacuum system, examining possible solutions, and executing repairs.

Product Knowledge : Become knowledgeable and proficient on the various vacuum and dust collector models.

Flexibility : Able to adjust priorities and pace to reflect changing needs or job demands.

Communication : Interact and communicate respectfully and professionally with others. Tasks performed must be concisely documented.

Physical : Must be able to lift over 50lbs and be able to work on ladders and lift equipment to reach the top of machines.
