Job Title : Ultrasound Technologist (Registered) - Contract

Location : New York, NY 10011

Schedule : 5 days / week

Hours : 7 hours / day (35 hours / week)

Position Overview

The Registered Ultrasound Technologist performs and assists with a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations. This role supports Radiologists during imaging procedures, ensures proper operation and maintenance of equipment, and provides high-quality patient care while adhering to departmental protocols.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for ultrasound examinations following established procedures.
• Operate, adjust, and maintain ultrasound equipment; take appropriate safety precautions for patient and staff protection.
• Clean, set up, and make minor adjustments to imaging equipment as needed.
• Ensure adequate supplies are stocked and available.
• Assist with onboarding and mentoring new ultrasound personnel.
• Capture and upload images to PACS; ensure timely transfer to physician workstations.
• Respond to phone calls, schedule exams, and coordinate patient transportation when needed.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.
