The ECS headquarters team provides key support for its electrical and mechanical companies, including finance and accounting, human resources, legal, national purchasing and information technology. / ppCompensation Range : $100,000 - $120,000 / ppThis position is bonus eligible. / ppThe Vista Report Developer is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining reports, dashboards and analytics solutions to support business operations across the organization. This role focuses on translating business needs into actionable insights through SSRS, Power BI, and SQL-based reporting tools. Looking for an IT professional with strong organizational and technical skills that can help us provide timely support and coordination of reporting needs as directed by the Vista Support Manager. Role will be responsible for working with Vista Support Manager and business users across operating companies to design and deliver efficient, accurate and visually engaging reports. / ph3Essential Duties Responsibilities / h3ulliDesign, develop, test, and maintain SSRS and Power BI reports and dashboards integrated with the ERP database Vista by Viewpoint. / liliCollaborate with business users and the Vista Support Manager to define reporting requirements and deliver analytics that align with business objectives. / liliManage report-related support tickets from intake to resolution, collaborating directly with end users to gather requirements, define report scope, and ensure business needs are fully understood. / liliMaintain standardized report packages, SQL objects, shared data sets used across operating companies. Manage version control and deployment through an established change control process using GitHub to ensure consistency across environments. / liliCommunicate progress updates, expected timelines, and testing requirements with users and the Vista Support Manager to ensure clear visibility into ticket status and priorities. / liliWrite and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to support data extraction and reporting. / liliCreate, maintain and optimize application reporting needs including VA Inquiries and WF Notifiers. / liliDocument all report development and modification work, including report purpose, data sources, business logic, parameters and testing notes to ensure traceability and consistent knowledge sharing within the Vista Support Team. / liliEnhance and support existing Crystal Reports, migrating reporting needs to SSRS and Power BI where appropriate. / liliAssist with development and configuration of Trimble Analytics datasets and Power BI workspaces. / liliCoordinate testing and validation of new reports and dashboards with end users before deployment. / li / ulh3Qualifications / h3pTo perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. / ppstrongPREFERRED EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE / strong / pulli5 - 10 years of experience in report development or data analytics, preferably in the construction industry. / liliWorking knowledge of the construction industry, operations management, and safety practices a plus. / liliWorking knowledge of Vista by Viewpoint ERP database schema and related reporting tools. / liliExperience developing in SSRS and Power BI required; Crystal Reports experience preferred. / liliHands on experience with SQL Server databases, views and stored procedures required. / liliExperience with Trimble Analytics or Power BI Service integrations is a plus. / li / ulpstrongPREFERRED SKILLS and ABILITIES / strong / pulliAdvanced SQL and SSRS report design skills, including subqueries, joins, and parameter-driven reporting. / liliStrong Power BI experience in data modeling (DAX, Power Query), visualization, and deployment. / liliUnderstanding of construction accounting and job cost management. / liliAbility to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users.
