As a Psychiatrist at Sagent Behavioral Health, formerly known as Ellie Mental Health, you will focus on diagnosing, treating, and preventing mental illnesses and emotional disorders. You will evaluate patients' mental and physical well-being, create personalized treatment plans, and prescribe medication as needed. This role plays a crucial part in supporting patients' needs and promoting improved mental health outcomes.

Responsibilities :
Diagnose and treat various mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and substance abuse disorders.Conduct complete history and physical assessments and follow up appointments. Participate in case reviews, multidisciplinary team meetings, and clinical supervision.Develop individualized treatment plans, incorporating therapy, medication, and lifestyle changes.Prescribe and manage medications, monitoring their effectiveness and potential side effects.Educate patients on medication management, including the importance of consistency, side effect management, and potential long-term impacts. Collaborate with therapists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.Offer immediate support for patients experiencing acute psychiatric crises, including suicidal ideation, violent tendencies, or severe distress.Develop long-term care plans for ongoing care beyond initial treatment, including relapse prevention strategies, lifestyle changes, and long-term medication management.Ensure a patient-centered approach by fostering a supportive and empathetic therapeutic environment.Requirements :
Medical degree (MD or DO) and board certified in Psychiatry.In-depth knowledge of the DSM-5 and its application in diagnosing mental health conditions. Strong diagnostic and assessment skills, with the ability to evaluate complex psychiatric conditions and provide accurate diagnoses.Knowledge of both pharmacological treatments and psychotherapeutic techniquesUnderstanding of medication management protocols, including how to monitor for effectiveness, adjust dosages, and manage side effects or adverse reactions.Strong working proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Calendar, Teams Chat, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. And in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
