Job Title : Staffing Coordinator

How youll contribute

A Staffing Coordinator performs a variety of duties to support nursing administration. Reviews staffing needs on a daily basis calculating staffing requirements based on flexible staffing patterns and patient acuity and maintains record of reports. Supervises Patient Sitters. Responsibilities include :

  • Reviews staffing levels to actively resolve staffing shortages using flexible staffing plan as guidelines for staffing requirements.
  • In timely manner informs appropriate Director when staffing issues are anticipated and / or occur.
  • Determines coordinates and supervises staffing assignments for patient sitters.
  • Provides recruitment direction orientation training coaching and mentoring to Patient Sitters. Performs or assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
  • Assesses and ensures quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs. Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies procedures and protocols.
  • Composes types and transcribes correspondence forms reports presentation materials and other written communications.
  • Receives screens and routes visitors and telephone calls. Responds to escalates and follows up on inquiries and problems as appropriate.
  • Schedules / coordinates meetings conferences special events and appointments.
  • Maintains assigned calendar(s).
  • Maintains files and office equipment.
  • Orders and stocks supplies.
  • Other duties as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Associates degree preferred.
