Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Network Engineer with strong customer-facing experience to design, implement, troubleshoot, and support network infrastructures while delivering exceptional service to internal and external customers. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical networking expertise with the ability to communicate effectively, resolve customer issues, and provide high-quality technical guidance.
Key Responsibilities
Design, configure, implement, and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless systems.
Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide timely resolution while maintaining clear communication with customers.
Work directly with customers to understand requirements, gather technical needs, and provide tailored networking solutions.
Perform network performance monitoring, optimization, and proactive issue identification.
Support network security initiatives, including access control, threat analysis, firewall updates, and compliance activities.
Document network diagrams, configurations, procedures, and customer interactions to ensure smooth operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including support, engineering, and operations to ensure successful deployments.
Provide technical guidance and training to customers on network products, services, and best practices.
Participate in on-call rotations and provide escalation support when required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience in network engineering, support, or administration.
Strong hands-on experience with networking technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Meraki, Palo Alto, or equivalent.
Solid understanding of TCP / IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching, VLANs, QoS, and network security concepts.
Experience interacting directly with customers in technical roles, including handling escalations and delivering solutions.
Ability to troubleshoot complex networking issues under pressure and communicate updates clearly to customers.
Proficiency with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, Nagios, etc.).
Strong documentation and communication skills.
Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIS, or equivalent are a plus.
