Job Title : Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

Location : Darien, CT

Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant Requirements :

  • Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant studies from an accredited program
  • Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) licensure in Connecticut
  • Experience providing occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist for children and adolescents
  • Strong skills in implementing treatment plans involving sensory integration, fine / gross motor development, and activities of daily living (ADL) training
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and time management abilities
  • Ability to commute to both Darien and Wilton locations

Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant Compensation :

  • $70,000 annual salary

    • Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant Job Type :

  • Full-Time : 40 hours / week (22-25 client-facing; 12-15 administrative / note -taking)
  • Schedule : Tuesday-Saturday with evening / after school availability

    • Responsibilities :

  • Work with OTR to develop a comprehensive treatment plan including long and short term goals, frequency, duration, and treatment modalities
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to children, adolescents, and / or adults (target of 25 client hours per week)
  • Dedicate 15 hours per week to administrative duties, including documentation, treatment planning, progress notes, and communication with families, multidisciplinary team members, schools, and outside providers as needed
  • Participate in weekly supervision, staff meetings, grand rounds and case consultations
  • Set up the gym for evaluations / sessions and maintain a clean gym environment after each therapy session / day
  • Perform other clinical and administrative duties as required

    The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for this position. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set, and education.
