Security Officer - Armed Patrol Plaza

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Plaza in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic retail environment, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence for customers and staff. This position requires both armed and driving responsibilities. You will engage with the public, deliver outstanding customer service, and embody Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first while supporting a secure shopping experience.

Position Type : Full Time

Pay Rate : $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Monday 4 : 00 PM - 11 : 30 PM

Wednesday 4 : 00 PM - 11 : 30 PM

Friday 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 00 PM

Saturday 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 00 PM

Sunday 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for suspicious behavior and report any concerns or incidents according to established protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with store personnel and / or law enforcement as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity within the retail environment.
  • Document all incidents, observations, and activities accurately and promptly in accordance with company and client requirements.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Level III Armed Security License in Texas is required.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
