Staff Accountant

Description

Robert Half is currently recruiting for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Knoxville, Tennessee. In this role, you will handle a variety of accounting tasks and contribute to maintaining accurate financial records. Responsibilities :

• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including timely payments and collections.
• Perform month-end closing procedures, ensuring all financial data is reconciled and accurate.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations to maintain transparency in financial records.
• Assist with audit preparation by organizing documentation and supporting audit requests.
• Analyze variances in financial data to identify discrepancies and provide recommendations.
• Utilize Deltek Costpoint software for efficient management of accounting tasks.
• Ensure compliance with sales tax regulations by preparing and submitting accurate reports.
• Monitor the general ledger to ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting procedures and improve efficiency.
