About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry Float Pool

Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience in Med-Surg / Telemetry

License : Active nursing license required

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Must-Have :

• Must have 2 years of MS-Tele experience
• Prefer prior neuro experience

Description :

The Registered Nurse in the Telemetry Float Pool will provide care to patients in multiple units, including general medical-surgical telemetry and various specialties.

Patient ratios are typically 1 : 5-6, based on acuity.

Nurses will be expected to float throughout the assigned zone.

Floating roles include various specialties such as Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, and more.

It is essential to have experience in adult and geriatric populations.

The nurse may be required to titrate drips, including Heparin.

Charge nurses are designated on each unit and may take assignments if necessary.

A small patient assignment may occur on night shifts for charge nurses.

All scheduling will be made by leadership for a six-week period.

Travelers are expected to be flexible and help fill permanent scheduling gaps.

Weekend shifts will range from 6-9 during a six-week schedule.

Holiday rotation may be required, and call or standby is rare.

Clinical tasks may include care for stable long-term placement patients, post-surgical care, and general medicine.

The charting system used is EpicCare.
