Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking experienced Emergency Medicine Physicians (MD / DO) for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Bellefontaine, OH. This long-term need offers a stable rural setting, strong specialty support, and flexible scheduling in a high-functioning emergency department.

We are actively seeking board-certified Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine physicians with recent emergency department experience to join our locum pool for 12-hour shifts. Enjoy working in a collaborative, well-equipped community hospital with excellent support and robust specialty backup.

Opportunity Details :

Location : Bellefontaine, OH

Contract Type : Locum Tenens

Start Date : ASAP – Ongoing

Duration : Long-Term Assignment (6+ months)

Schedule : 12-Hour Shifts | 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM & 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM

Advanced Practice Provider Support : APP on-site from 9 : 00 AM – 9 : 00 PM

Emergency Department Details :

Annual ED Volume : 20,000 visits

ED Bed Count : 17

Average PPH : 1.8

Admission Rate : 9%

Transfer Rate : 7%

Average Codes : 2–3 per week

EMR : Meditech (Web-Based) with M

• Modal Voice Transcription

Support & Specialty Services :

Hospitalists : 2 Full-Time MDs + 24 / 7 NP Coverage (Admit nearly all inpatient cases)

Specialty Support : Ob / Gyn

Cardiology with 24 / 7 Level 2 Cath Lab

ENT (3 Providers)

Orthopedics (including Hand Surgery)

Urology, Peds, and Internal Medicine

Telemedicine Access :

Neurology

Infectious Disease

Critical Care

Pulmonary

Unavailable Specialties : Renal & GI

Provider Requirements :

Board Certification : ABEM or ABFM with active EM experience

Licensure : Active Ohio Medical License

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS, ATLS (preferred)

Experience : Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience
