[job_card.job_description]Maintaining the proper temperature for both hot and cold foods. Interpreting and following written recipes and order requests. Breaking down carts and disposing of scraps from patient trays. Assembling and delivering late patient trays, supplements, and special requests. Portioning, weighing, and garnishing food according to dietary guidelines. Helping patients complete their meal selections. Cleaning and sanitizing all assigned areas to ensure food safety. Organizing and managing your time effectively to meet deadlines. A food handler's permit as mandated by state or county regulations. Preferred training in food preparation for therapeutic diets. Experience in institutional cooking and special event catering. Knowledge of food safety guidelines. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and evenings if necessary.
