SUMMARY :

As an Emergency Department Registered Nurse, you will utilize your nursing expertise and leadership qualities to create and execute high-quality care plans for patients. You will also have the opportunity to mentor colleagues and support nursing students in their development.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Assessment : Conduct thorough initial and ongoing assessments of patients. Demonstrate exceptional clinical judgment while effectively communicating and documenting assessments with the interdisciplinary team. Utilize available resources to meet the needs of both patients and their families.

Planning & Implementation : Develop comprehensive care plans, treatments, and services. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary health team to provide the best care possible, maintaining a supportive nurse-patient relationship to enhance overall patient experiences.

Evaluation & Education : Regularly evaluate and document patient responses to care, adapting care plans as needed. Ensure patients receive clear and comprehensible education tailored to their specific needs and abilities.

Training : Facilitate training for new team members and act as an instructor for nursing students and other learners. Serve as a trusted clinical resource for fellow team members on both medical and non-medical matters.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

• Associate's Degree in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse License in the State of New York.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least 6 months of experience as a Registered Nurse.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of potential base pay for a successful full-time applicant. Future modifications and additional pay components may be eligible. Pay is determined by factors including experience, qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contract terms.
