Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job Details

Location : Downers Grove, Illinois (60515) – Chicago area healthcare jobs

Setting : Cardiac Cath Lab (Adults Only, Inpatient / Outpatient)

Contract Length : 8 weeks (option for extension)

Start Date : December 22, 2025

End Date : March 21, 2026

Shift : 10-hour day shifts

Hours per Week : 40

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2,750–$2,820 / week

Orientation : Up to 1 week of unit orientation

Employment Type : Travel nursing contract

Cath Lab RN Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab Registered Nurse experience

Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN)

Active Illinois RN license

BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)

Illinois IEMA license

ARRT or RTR certification

Experience with EPIC charting

RCIS certification (CCI) and EPIC Cupid experience highly preferred

Cath Lab Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients during interventional cardiac procedures

Utilize EPIC charting, Alaris IV, Pyxis medication dispensing, Zoll defibrillator, Phillips Fluoro machine, Merge Hemodynamics, and Data scope IABP

Demonstrate advanced skills in aseptic technique, sheath pulling, TR band placement / removal, line securement, and EKG / cardiac rhythm interpretation

Manage IABP / Impella devices as needed

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
