Security Officer - Armed Mall Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Armed Mall Patrol Driver in Austin, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct routine patrols at a retail location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. This is an armed and driving post, where your professionalism and attention to detail will support a secure environment. You will engage with customers and staff, delivering excellent customer service while embodying our values of teamwork, integrity, and innovation.

Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $26.50 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Mon 11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM

Fri 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Sun 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 30 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and / or individuals, reporting any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control and verify identification of individuals entering restricted areas as required by site policies.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and / or unusual occurrences.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and / or emergency responders when necessary.
  • Remain alert to potential hazards and communicate any observed issues to management or the appropriate parties.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience or possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Level III armed certification for Texas is required.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
