[job_card.job_description]Determines appropriate radiographic technique based on anatomy and patient's condition to obtain quality images for radiologists; may provide advanced clinical level of patient care Prepares patients for diagnostic procedures including transporting, transferring, immobilizing, and positioning patients Explains procedures to patients considering physical and emotional needs Records digital images as directed for radiologist interpretation Maintains pertinent records Provides radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards May assist Radiology Technologist Students and new staff in performing Radiologic exams, sterile technique, and proper stocking of supplies in radiographic rooms Associate's degree in Diagnostic Imaging required; no experience accepted in lieu of degree Radiologic Technologist State License required Registered Technologist (ARRT-R) certification required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred 2-3 years Radiology Technician experience with multiple patient populations preferred Contract length : 13 weeks MGB NWH Self-Study Orientation & Attestation required for onboarding License / Certificate Verification required within 30 days of start date and updated upon expiration; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted Fit Test (N95) required within 365 days of start date and updated annually; no onsite fit testing available at most locations Documentation of MMR vaccination or immunity required Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30); no exemptions considered TB test documentation required within 3 months of start date and updated if > Physician Health Statement required within 365 days of start date and updated if > MGB Criminal Background Check required within 45 days prior to start date and updated if > MGB Massachusetts CORI required within 30 days prior to start date and updated if > MGB Resume including past 7 years of work experience required for submission MGB References (2 recent, minimum 1 supervisor or above) required for submission MGB Skills Checklist required for submission MGB Confirmation of Assignment / POI Form required for all initial assignments and extensions Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation required if fit test is required MGB Education Verification required MGB SSN Trace required MGB National Sex Offender Check required within 30 days of start and updated annually MGB Exclusion Checks required within 30 days of start and annually MGB TB Symptom Survey required if positive PPD MGB Candidate Submission Coversheet required for submission
