Cedar Hills Hospital is a 98-bed behavioral health hospital and Outpatient Services program dedicated to healing patients' minds and bodies. Our team of board-certified psychiatrists, physicians, therapists, and nursing provide individualized continuum of care treatment in a stigma-free environment for adults 18 years and older.

DIRECTOR OF INTAKE

JOB SUMMARY :

The Director of Intake is accountable for the oversight and direction of the hospital's Admissions Department. As a clinician, this position provides direction to a staff of specialists in the provision of patient access to care and behavioral health assessment services, including call management, clinical evaluations for level of care, crisis intervention, admissions and referrals. This position interfaces closely with the hospital's medical staff, nursing staff, fellow department heads, and administration, as well as external referring agencies and payers. The Intake Director is responsible for the department's budget, policies and procedures, regulatory compliance, service excellence, and data management / analysis. In addition, the Intake Director participates with the senior leadership team in the development and management of processes related to the hospital's strategic goals. The Director of Intake reports directly to the hospital's CEO.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE :

• Directs the screening of potential patients for admission into the program and initiate the integrated assessment process
• Provide services to current referral sources to assure their satisfaction and continued associations
• Serves as Administrator On Call per schedule
• Ensure interdisciplinary treatment planning is organized with participation of all appropriate clinical disciplines
• Ensure that a system is developed to provide continuity of care and communication with family and appropriate referral sources, and ensure the system is evaluated and reviewed regularly
• Assist with planning and teaching staff development programs
