Support Staff : L&D, postpartum, OR, ER nurses, 12 CNMs

Other OB / GYNs on Site During Coverage : Typically no

Residents : Usually on-call with locums

Average Monthly Deliveries : 6580

Nursery Admissions / Day : 25

Practice Risk Mix : Low Risk : ~40%

High Risk : ~60% Clinical Responsibilities

Triage and deliver Genesis OB patients

ER coverage for OB / GYN cases

Rounding on Genesis inpatients

Manage No Doc patients (~1 / day)

Circumcisions (optional) Required OB ProceduresObstetrics :

High / low risk pregnancy management

FHR interpretation (NST, CST, FSE)

OB ultrasounds (Level I)

Amniocentesis Labor & Delivery :

Vaginal, low forceps deliveries

C-section (routine and complicated)

VBACs

Breech / multiple births

Repair of 3rd / 4th degree lacerations Gynecology :

Open surgical GYN

Laparoscopic minor (tubal ligation, LOA, etc.)

Operative / major (ectopic, cystectomy, ovary removal, etc.) Requirements

Board Certified OB / GYN Required

Active IA License or IMLC Required

LOQ must be submitted at time of name clear

Fetal Monitoring Certification Required
