Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is a key member of our team, responsible for performing maintenance, repair, and installation jobs on residential properties — from everyday fixes to larger remodeling tasks — in a timely, safe, and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
Perform repairs and maintenance across a variety of trades, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general handyman tasks.
Install appliances, ceiling fans, light fixtures, and other hardware as needed.
Assist with home-improvement and remodeling projects (e.g., kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, drywall, trim, paint) when required.
Perform smart-home and security installations (e.g., security cameras, smart thermostats, smart garage door controllers, Wi-Fi boosters) as part of broader service offerings.
Respond to service requests and complete jobs on schedule, including same-day or next-day tasks when needed.
Conduct regular maintenance checks (daily, weekly, or monthly) to ensure property safety, code compliance, and curb-appeal standards.
Work with management to ensure all properties comply with applicable health, safety, and building regulations.
Maintain a personal collection of basic handyman tools; store, maintain, and clean tools properly after use.
Assist with general property upkeep : interior & exterior cleaning, light landscaping / grounds maintenance, minor painting, and touch-ups to uphold curb appeal as needed.
Be available for after-hours emergency calls (on-call schedule).
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of hands-on maintenance, repair, or construction experience (residential or commercial).
Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance installation, and general home-repair tasks.
Experience with installation of fixtures, appliances, smart-home devices, and security systems is a plus.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask, stay organized, and manage time effectively.
Ability to read and understand work orders.
Comfortable working independently or within a small crew, with good problem-solving skills.
Must have or be willing to acquire a reliable basic set of handyman tools.
Clean driving record, reliable transportation, and ability to pass a state-mandated background check.
Able to lift up to 75 lbs safely.
Flexibility to be on-call for after-hours emergencies.
