National Vice President of Pathology Services

Position purpose : The National Vice President of Operations Pathology Services is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operational and financial performance of the pathology department, ensuring efficiency, regulatory compliance, and strategic growth. This role requires close collaboration with pathologists, laboratory leadership, and clinical teams to enhance workflow, improve service delivery, and drive departmental goals and objectives in accordance with the company’s mission, vision, and philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Operational Oversight : Manage leaders of daily operations for pathology services, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with regulatory standards. This involves overseeing laboratory functions, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.
• Financial Management : Oversee budgeting and financial planning for the pathology department, ensuring cost‑effective operations and adherence to financial targets.
• Team Leadership : Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team of leaders, supporting professional development and fostering a collaborative work environment enterprise‑wide.
• Quality Assurance : Ensure adherence to quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives, implementing quality control measures and addressing any deficiencies.
• Stakeholder Engagement : Serve as primary liaison between pathology department and other departments, senior leadership, and external partners. Represent the department in executive meetings and collaborate on cross‑functional objectives.

Qualifications

Education : Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience in health care, health care administration, or laboratory‑specific leadership position.

Equipment Operated : Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, and calculator.

Work Environment : Position is in an office environment. Travel is required to effectively lead assigned areas.
