About the Program

At FCL Builders, we build more than just buildings, we build your career. We are an employee-owned and operated industrial and design-builder general contractor specializing in eCommerce, Manufacturing, Cold Storage, Data Centers, Warehousing and Distribution, Food Processing, and Life Sciences.

Our 10-week Internship Program is designed to give students an immersive, hands-on overview of the industrial construction management process. Through a structured rotation across Pre-Construction, Production, and Field Operations , you’ll gain exposure to every step of the project lifecycle. Along the way, you’ll receive virtual professional development training , as well as bi-weekly mentorship meetings to help you grow both personally and professionally.

What You’ll Do

During your internship, you’ll rotate through three core areas of construction management :

Pre-Construction

• Learn the proposal and budgeting process
• Gain insight into design-build vs. plan-spec approaches
• Review drawings and perform conceptual estimating
• Conduct subcontractor scope reviews and clarifications
• Perform quantity takeoffs and detailed breakdowns
• Understand the importance of subcontractor communication
