Job Title : Entry Level Engineer
Description :
We are looking for an entry-level engineer that wants to grow in a fast-paced, team-first environment that is passionate about getting into environmental consulting and making a positive impact on the environment. This individual could work on a variety of projects from environmental assessment / monitoring to engineering / design support for solid waste and / or industrial wastewater projects. The individual will conduct assignments in an office setting and in the field.
- Record data during field work, which could include, but not limited to : soil characteristics, lithology, groundwater or surface water data, photographs, or summaries of visual observations through photograph and written field logs in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Prepare environmental assessment / monitoring reports, including tabulated data, charts, graphs, sketches and / or figures.
- Collect samples from hazardous and non-hazardous sites, including : soil, air, surface water, groundwater, and landfill gas.
- Oversee drilling activities involving, monitoring and well installation, borehole logging, well development, and sampling.
- Conduct and document construction quality assurance observations to ensure compliance with construction documents.
- Complete quality control reviews on all work product (reports, design plans, design calculations, data, prior to submission.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and clients.
- Coordinate with CAD drafters for design plans / figures or use AutoCAD for design plans / figures.
- Prepare reports such as : Phase I, environmental site assessment, emission, groundwater, and compliance reporting.
- Prepare permit applications and / or regulatory agency submittals and responses with supporting documentation as requested.
- Prepare calculations for reports and in support of design documents as requested.
- Assist in training Environmental Field Technicians and Technical Associates.
- Prepare short form site specific health and safety plans.
- Participate in health and safety training.
Skills & Qualifications :
Bachelor’s in Civil or Environmental Engineering required0 – 3 years’ experience within the environmental industryEngineer in Training (EIT) preferredIntermediate skills in using Microsoft Office Suite productsBasic knowledge in AutoCAD requiredBasic knowledge in Civil 3D preferred but requiredStrong problem-solving skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.25 / hr.
