Behavior Technician (BT) / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – Full Time
Location : Virginia Beach, VA
Pay : $18–$21 / hr (BT) | $22–$27 / hr (RBT)
Schedule : Full-Time | Clinic, Home, & Community-Based
This role offers the opportunity to deliver meaningful ABA services while building a long-term career in behavioral health.
Key Duties
Provide behavior therapy sessions
Implement treatment and skill-acquisition programs
Maintain documentation and session notes
Operate across clinic, home, and community environments
Preferred Candidate
Entry-level or experienced
RBT certification preferred but not required at hire
Spanish bilingual is a plus
Strong work ethic and reliability

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
RBT certification preferred but not required at hire
BT candidates must be willing to complete RBT training
Ability to work in clinic, home, and community-based environments
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and actively engage in physical play and therapy
Strong communication, professionalism, and teamwork skills
Spanish speaking is a plus, not required
Must pass background check and agency credentialing

Core Skills Ability to follow step-by-step treatment procedures Strong communication with supervisors, caregivers, and teammates Reliability and consistency in attendance (critical for clinical schedules) Basic computer skills for data entry and session documentation Ability to learn and apply ABA teaching strategies Professionalism in working with children and families Physical / Behavioral Skills Able to lift up to 50 lbs Capable of frequent movement, bending, sitting on the floor, and active play Ability to remain engaged during fast-paced sessions Calm, patient, and flexible when supporting challenging behaviors Interpersonal Skills Positive attitude and willingness to receive feedback Team-oriented mindset Compassion, empathy, and commitment to high-quality care Problem-solving and adaptability during sessions
