American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of recent GE MRI experience for a night shift position in New Lenox, IL.
Details- Performs routine and specialized MRI procedures for inpatients, outpatients, and ED patients across all age groups
- 8-hour night shifts with weekday hours ranging from 3:30 PM–12:00 AM or 6:00 PM–2:30 AM (Mon–Fri)
- Every weekend required with shifts at 7:30 AM–4:30 PM, with additional weekend start times of 6:00 AM and 10:30 AM
- 13-week contract
- Minimum 1 year of recent GE MRI experience required
- ARRT certification required (AMRIT certification will not be accepted)
- Current BLS required
- License required if applicable
- Verifies physician orders, preps patients, explains procedures, and provides patient education prior to exams
- Performs all MRI studies including administration of contrast media using age-appropriate technical and positioning protocols
- Assists radiologist with MR procedures as requested and evaluates images for technical quality
- Operates and maintains MRI equipment including warm-up, calibration, and safety checks in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
- Adheres to MRI safety standards and maintains ARRT standards
- No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested for this assignment
