Job Title : Nursing Staffing Scheduler
Location: Detroit, MI 48202
Duration: 3-Month Contract (potential to convert to FTE)
Pay Rate: $20/hr.on W2
Schedule: Day, 4:30 am-1:00pm and 7:00 am-3:30pm | 5x8s, 40hrs/week.

Job Summary:

Candidates will be assisting the Best Choice float team with RN scheduling, coordinating with the sites on their needs and communicating with the internal float pool RNs to fill staffing gaps. They will also be responsible for updating and operating in multiple systems simultaneously. Being detail oriented will be very important here

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Monitor staffing needs on a shift-by-shift basis; coordinate with central staffing RNs.
• Perform daily operations related to deployment of central staffing resources.
• Manage all aspects of the scheduling system, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
• Assign professional and support staff to units based on established staffing models.
• Inform relevant personnel of staffing issues and help adjust schedules accordingly.
• Record call-ins and overtime in the electronic scheduling system to ensure accurate reporting.
• Fill staffing gaps due to absences by assigning SRP personnel or reassigning other staff.
• Maintain records, logs, and files related to staffing activities; prepare reports as needed.
• Perform general office duties such as message relaying, handling calls, assisting with shift changes, and customer service tasks.
• Prepare, analyze, and distribute statistical and staffing reports in a timely, accurate manner.
• Print and maintain daily staffing worksheets.
• Provide new employees with onboarding information regarding hospital and departmental procedures.
• Attend mandatory meetings, in-services, and educational sessions.
• Assist with maintaining personnel data in the electronic database.
• Monitor and report staffing-related budget metrics to management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of related staffing, scheduling, or healthcare business experience
• Experience working in UKG Dimensions (Kronos) system
• Experience working in Einstein system
• Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Basic computer data entry skills with report development knowledge
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Basic knowledge of nursing positions and understanding basic nursing staff patterns is strongly preferred.
