Verification of Benefits Specialist

A company is looking for a Verification of Benefits Specialist.

Key Responsibilities :

Contact multiple payors by phone to obtain detailed benefit information for behavioral health and substance use levels of care

Research plan details on payer portals and document benefit structures, restrictions, exclusions, and license requirements

Enter insurance benefits data into CRM and report new or changing payor requirements to leadership

Required Qualifications :

Minimum 1 year of experience in insurance benefits verification, preferably in behavioral health or substance abuse treatment

Understanding of insurance benefit structures and verification procedures

Familiarity with payer phone systems and behavioral health / substance abuse benefits

Knowledge of CPT codes, revenue codes, and general insurance billing concepts

Experience with detox, mental health, or addiction treatment billing preferred
