Senior Project Manager
The Senior Project Manager drives execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives that impact multiple areas of the business, including new service implementations, warehouse relocations, enterprise projects, and major IT programs requiring significant business involvement. This role partners closely with business leaders to define scope, align objectives, manage resources, and deliver results that enable organizational growth and operational excellence. The Senior Project Manager ensures clear communication across stakeholders, proactively manages risks, and promotes continuous improvement in project delivery processes.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex, enterprise-level projects across multiple business functions.
- Manage initiatives such as infrastructure-as-a-service deployments, warehouse moves, large-scale rock projects, and IT implementations requiring business input.
- Partner with executive sponsors and department leaders to define project goals, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure on-time, within-scope delivery.
- Facilitate collaboration and alignment between technical and operational teams to drive project outcomes.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate as needed to leadership.
- Serve as the liaison between IT and business units to ensure effective communication, requirement gathering, and change management.
- Monitor project performance and report progress to stakeholders through regular updates and executive-level presentations.
- Champion best practices and continuous improvement in project management methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Support strategic decision-making by providing insight into project dependencies, capacity planning, and resource prioritization.
The Person | Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.5+ years of progressive project management experience leading cross-functional or enterprise-scale initiatives.Proven success leading complex projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) and associated tools such as Smartsheet, Asana, or Microsoft Project.Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.PMP, PMI-ACP, or comparable project management certificationExperience in logistics, supply chain, or technology implementation environments strongly recommended.
