Insight Global is looking for a  Controls Engineer  in Gallatin, TN! Below is more information of what we're looking for in a candidate in the role :

Desired Skills and Experience :

• Bachelor's in mechatronics engineering, electrical engineering, robotics engineering, or related field
• Controls design engineering experience
• Equipment experience - any of the following : control panels, industrial robotics ,PLCs, HMI / SCADA systems, field wiring, panel building, commissioning / automation controls, etc.
• Platform expereince - any of the following : Fanuc, ABB, Kuka, Rockwell, Siemens, Omron, Toyopuc, GE, AutoCAD, etc.

Day to Day Responsibilities :

In this role, you’ll leverage your background in mechatronics, electrical, robotics engineering, or a related discipline to design and implement advanced control systems for industrial automation projects. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include developing and reviewing controls designs, programming and configuring PLCs, and integrating HMI / SCADA systems to ensure seamless operation. You’ll work hands-on with equipment such as control panels, industrial robotics, field wiring, and panel building, while also supporting commissioning activities and troubleshooting automation controls to meet project specifications. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be key as you validate system performance and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. You’ll frequently engage with leading automation platforms like Fanuc, ABB, Kuka, Rockwell, Siemens, Omron, Toyopuc, and GE, applying your expertise to optimize robotic and control solutions. Additionally, you’ll use tools such as AutoCAD to create detailed electrical schematics and layout drawings, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in design. This position offers a dynamic mix of technical design, programming, and hands-on implementation, requiring strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to evolving technologies in industrial automation.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
