Company Overview

Zeno Power is the leading developer of nuclear batteries – compact power systems that provide reliable, clean energy in frontier environments. By harnessing the heat from radioisotopes, Zeno's batteries power critical missions on Earth, in space, and at sea. To bring this technology to market by 2027, Zeno is seeking out purpose-driven and innovative professionals who are comfortable working in a startup environment. Team members will have a direct impact in enabling commercial and national security missions from the depths of our oceans, to the surface of the moon, and in austere environments here on Earth. Zeno is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to attracting, retaining, and developing a highly qualified, diverse, and dedicated work force. We do not discriminate in hiring on the basis of sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, color, religious creed, national origin, physical or mental disability, protected Veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.

Project Scheduler

Zeno is seeking a highly motivated Project Scheduler to support the mission-oriented efforts of developing and bringing to market Radioisotope Power Systems (RPS) technologies. The Project Scheduler will develop, maintain, and analyze integrated master schedules (IMS) across complex, multidisciplinary programs. This role is critical to ensuring program execution stays aligned with technical milestones, regulatory commitments, and long-lead procurement realities inherent to nuclear and aerospace-class hardware development.

In this role you will:

  • Perform schedule impact analyses and develop mitigation strategies for risks and changes.
  • Partner with Program Managers, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Safety, and Licensing teams.
  • Facilitate schedule reviews and ensure alignment with internal and external commitments.
  • Produce schedule status reports, forecasts, and executive-level summaries.
  • Support internal and external program reviews, including customer and government engagements.
  • Help mature scheduling standards, tools, and best practices as the company scales.

Key Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a project scheduler or planning engineer on complex technical programs.
  • Proficiency with scheduling tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with Atlassian software such as Confluence and Jira
  • Experience supporting hardware development programs.
  • Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in nuclear, aerospace, defense, energy, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Experience using Ceptah Bridge to interface between MS Project and Jira
  • Familiarity with long-lead procurement and test-driven schedules.
  • Experience supporting government or customer-facing program reviews.
  • Exposure to Earned Value Management (EVM).
