Salary Range : $120,000–$140,000
We’re seeking a driven and detail-oriented SQL Server DBA to oversee and enhance our enterprise database landscape. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining high system availability, supporting disaster recovery strategies, managing reporting environments, and ensuring reliable ETL operations across the organization.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Oversee and support SQL Server databases to maintain strong performance, stability, and uptime.
- Configure and administer high-availability and disaster recovery solutions, such as Always On Availability Groups.
- Manage SSRS environments, including report deployments, data-source configuration, access management, and subscription maintenance.
- Monitor and troubleshoot SSIS packages to keep ETL processes running efficiently and consistently.
- Conduct backups, restores, patching, and version upgrades to ensure database integrity.
- Improve performance through query optimization, indexing strategies, and proactive system monitoring.
- Apply and maintain robust database security practices.
- Partner with IT teams to coordinate database changes and reduce production risks.
- Create and maintain documentation for database setups, ETL procedures, and recovery workflows.
Required Skills & Experience :
Hands-on SQL Server administration (installation, configuration, upgrades, patching)Expertise with high-availability technologies : Always On, clustering, log shippingExperience managing SSRS and SSIS in production environmentsStrong background in backup / restore operations and disaster-recovery planningSolid T-SQL abilities and troubleshooting skillsPerformance-tuning and system-monitoring experiencePreferred Qualifications :
Experience with cloud database platforms (Azure SQL, AWS RDS)Familiarity with automation and monitoring tools (PowerShell, SQL Agent, DBATools)Understanding of CI / CD pipelines for database deployments
