Position Title :  Care Rounding Ambassador Volunteer

Coordinator :  Varies

Summary :  This non-paid, volunteer position will support Eskenazi Health's Mission to advocate, care, teach and serve. Volunteers will  assist in determining patient needs and satisfaction through care rounding.

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Assess patient room and environment of care (ensure room and common areas are free of clutter, frequently used items are within patient's reach, walkways are clear, bathroom is clean).
• Report patient requests, concerns, and other observations, to staff.
• Conduct continual rounding on inpatient care areas to promote patient satisfaction.
• Restock supplies, file, answer phones and other clerical needs determined by service area leadership.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and evaluation forms following each patient interaction.
• Follow all policies and procedures set forth by Eskenazi Health.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
• Must comply with HIPAA standards, policies and procedures of maintaining confidentiality of patient and medical information.
