Traffic Engineer – Riverside, CA
Must-Have Qualifications :
BS in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
California Professional Civil Engineer (PE) and Traffic Engineer (TE) registration, or ability to obtain within 6 months
8–12 years of relevant traffic engineering experience, or 12–15 years equivalent work experience
Minimum 3 years of management or supervisory experience leading technical staff

Position Overview :
We are seeking a Principal Traffic Engineer / Manager in Riverside, CA, to lead traffic engineering projects and a technical team on impactful developments in the Inland Empire. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in a client-facing, collaborative environment and enjoys shaping innovative traffic solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
Managerial & Leadership :
Supervise and mentor design and support staff, fostering a high-performance, collaborative team
Manage project schedules, budgets, construction documents, and contracts
Prepare contracts, fee proposals, and scopes of work
Lead client and public-agency interactions, including presentations to City Council, Planning Commissions, and Development Review boards
Technical Expertise :
Prepare and review traffic studies, traffic signal plans, signing and striping plans, and traffic control plans
Apply thorough knowledge of the California MUTCD, Caltrans Standard Plans and Specifications, and the Caltrans Highway Design Manual
Provide in-house traffic engineering services to public agencies as required
