About The Position

Job Title : Cath Lab Tech Profession : Radiology / Cardiology Specialty : Cath Lab Tech Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift : 10 Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience required License : State licensed Certifications : BLS, ACLS, ARRT Must-Have : - Comfortable with floating to outpatient cath lab for procedures - 18 days of call in 8 weeks Description : Position available for a Cath Lab Tech. Shifts are 4x10s during the day from 07 : 00 to 17 : 30. Two years of experience is required, but first-timers are accepted. Weekend coverage is as needed. Candidates must hold current certifications including BLS, ACLS, and ARRT. On-call duties are required, with a total of 18 days of call in an 8-week period. Floating to outpatient cath lab may be necessary for procedures. The unit manager may consider blocked scheduling. Local candidates are accepted. Request time off requires unit manager's approval. Guaranteed hours are 40 per week, with the possibility of being called off up to six times throughout the assignment. Preferred skills include experience in EP, Structural Heart, MacLab, Xper, and Cerner. The facility is a short-term acute care facility. It is a teaching hospital and has a Level I trauma designation. Total staffed beds are 268. The Cath Lab provides scrubs to staff. Charting system utilized is Cerner. All employees are expected to adhere to quality and patient safety standards in medication administration and care. Special equipment in the lab includes Rotablader, IAPB, and Impella. Knowledge in performing various procedures like cardiac catheterizations, stent placements, and electrophysiology evaluations is important. Travelers must be prepared to start work promptly following acceptance of the position. Candidate references are required prior to the start date, including one from the most recent employer. Candidate must be able to work two out of three major holidays. No requests for time off will be accepted during the first week of the assignment. Candidates must be comfortable floating and will be expected to work in different units based on need.
