Position Summary : We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Financial Analyst - Accounts Payable Audit. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for compliance, auditing, financial data analysis, and reporting in the Accounts Payable department, ensuring that all transactions comply with NYU Langone Health Business Expense Policy. The preferred candidate will have a sound knowledge of accounts payable pertaining to travel and expense reimbursements, experience analyzing large data sets, and comfort with Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.

Job Responsibilities :

• Serve as AP Compliance approver for various types of expense transactions, including online payment requests, international wires, expense reports, and gift card requests
• Conduct compliance audits of accounts payable activities, including Travel & Expense and PCard transactions
• Liaise with end users and the Finance Help Desk to assist with compliance-related questions and resolve Salesforce help desk tickets
• Audit 3rd party vendors for accuracy and compliance with our internal policies and procedures
• Work closely with off-site audit team and external bank on compliance issues and adjustments to PCards
• Prepare ad hoc PowerPoint presentations related to audit & compliance issues, findings, and metrics
• Attend & present at meetings with departmental leaders to reinforce best practices for expense submissions
• Work closely with accounts payable management team, making recommendations for improvements to current AP processes and procedures based on audit findings
• Complete ad hoc projects as requested

Minimum Qualifications : To qualify you must have a Bachelor Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field, with 1-3 years relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Superior communication skills, both written and verbal. Possess strong customer service and problem solving skill sets.

Preferred Qualifications : At least one year of ERP system experience (PeopleSoft FSCM) preferred

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64,350.00 - $70,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses / incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
