Great Opportunity Salary negotiable.Job Summary : Provides and oversees medical diagnosis, treatment, procedures and care of patients in a correctional facility.Essential Functions : 1.Responsible for the management, oversight, and adherence to federal, state, correctional health care standards and institutional regulations and guidelines in the provision of medical care for the facility. 2.Provide and manage direct medical patient care; maintain medical records and charts documenting all medical services rendered.3.Direct, coordinate and supervise clinical services provided by professional staff; review and approve treatment protocols, clinical policies and procedures; and provide in-service training for the clinical staff.4.Collaborate with administrative staff in development and implementation of quality improvement, safety and infection control programs and initiatives.5.Follow established policies, procedures, continuous quality improvement and safety, environmental and infection control standards.6.Communicates performance and service standards and expectations to faculty and clinic staff.7.Will adhere to Armors Standards of Professional Conduct, and will incorporate and / or be supportive of Armors four core FISH! Philosophies i.e. Play, Be There, Make Their Day and Choose Your Attitude.8.Respond to requests from Security Staff as well as Armor Staff in accordance with Armor and Facility Guidelines. This includes following the rules and regulations for employee conduct / behavior and chain of command set forth by the command staff at all times while working within the detention / correctional facility.9.Performs other duties as assigned.Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required : Ability to supervise and train employees.Knowledge of federal, state, correctional health care standards and institutional regulations and guidelines in the provision of medical services.Ability to maintain quality, safety and infection control standards.Knowledge of medical diagnostic and patient care services.Ability to develop and present in-service educational programs to clinic staff.Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical diagnosis and treatment.Ability to work, observe, assess and record symptoms, reactions and progress using the POMR method of charting.Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients on correct usage.Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care.Ability to conduct research and write reports.Working Conditions and Physical Effort : Work is performed in both clinical and office setting Moderate physical activityClinical work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment
